AIESEC Globaly

Present in over 1100 universities in more than 100 countries and territories, AIESEC, the world's largest youth organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential in order to have a positive impact in society. Towards this aim, we run more than 350 conferences, provide more than 5000 work abroad opportunities, and offer over 5000 leadership positions to our members each year. Together with a focus on building personal networks and exploring the direction and ambition of their future, AIESEC has an innovative approach to engaging and developing young people. Our partner organizations, literally thousands from all sectors, look at us as a way to support the development of young people and to have access to high-potential young talent from all over the world. Our alumni are leaders within these organizations and their communities - using the experience, skills, and increased vision that AIESEC gave them to be agents of positive change. What is AIESEC?
AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national, ethnic or social origin.

Our Network

In the 60 years of existence our greatest strength has come to our ability to bring together young people and partner organizations from all over the world through exchange, conferences, and virtual tools.
The base of our network is a volunteer membership base of approximately 25,000 individuals in over 1100 universities in more than 100 countries and territories. The national and international offices are managed by students on leave or members that have very recently graduated.
Together, the network manages relationships with more than 3500 partner organizations, facilitate more than 5000 exchanges, and organize over 350 conferences each year.
The network interacts and collaborates through AIESEC.net, our on-line collaboration and communication platform. With over 1,400 active communities, 250,000 documents, and 10,000 forum postings per month, it is the largest and most active installation of the OpenACS platform in the world.
And beyond our members and partners, we have an alumni network of nearly 1 million people since the conception of AIESEC in 1948. These ex-members stay in touch with each other and AIESEC through the AIESEConnect interface on AIESEC.net.
AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia

AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia was founded in 1953 as part of AIESEC in Yugoslavia. In 1991, AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia was established as a separate organization in its own right with the fall of the Yugoslav Republic.
Today, we operate from 4 offices with more than 80 active members:
• Member Committee, Economic Chamber of Commerce, Skopje
• Local Committee Skopje, Faculty of Economics, Skopje
• Local Committee Ohrid, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Ohrid
• Local Committee Prilep, Faculty of Economics, Prilep
Through the Learning Experience we provide for our members, by addressing specific issues and trends, we are able to develop the kind of people our community needs, the kind of people that are prepared to take the risks and face the current and future challenges of the Macedonian Transitioning Society.
AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia provides issue based experiences built around Entrepreneurship, Education, Tourism and Information Technology that aim to increase the awareness and knowledge of all involved stakeholders in these areas. See more www.aiesec.org.mk

AIESEC Macedonia Awards

By winning two global awards, we are proud to say that AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia has been a role model country in the Global Network for the past few years. Driven by our passionate members we have successfully implemented many projects and launched various innovations. AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia is globally known under the brand "The land of success"!
Awards:
• The Global Excellence Award, the most important Award in AIESEC, "Leadership Award for Overall Strategy Implementation" given by ING, won on International Presidents Meeting 2006 in the Netherlands.
• Regional Award for "excellence and achievement", by United Bank of Switzerland, won on International Congress in India, 2005.
• Global Award for "innovation and creativity" won on the International Presidents Meeting in Romania, 2005.
• Global Award for "AIESEC Experience Fighter"; won on International Congress 2004, in Germany.
